Overview

DCT Recruitment are currently recruiting for Temporary Work Coordinator to work with our client based in Deeside.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfil health and safety responsibilities of the role as outlined in the Regeneration Health, Safety and Environment policy.

  • Ensure all temporary works are designed, constructed, and dismantled in compliance with relevant regulations, including BS 5975 and CDM Regulations.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all temporary works activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) policies regarding temporary works safety.
  • Collaborate with the HSE Lead, Safety Advisors, and Permit Controllers to ensure safe execution of temporary works.
  • Participate in incident investigations related to temporary works, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during temporary works activities. IMS Responsibilities.
  • Compliance and understanding of their responsibilities as laid out in the Company Integrated Management Systems (IMS) including Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality and all associated policies, standards, procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with IMS standards for temporary works design, installation, and inspection.
  • Maintain accurate records of Temporary Works Registers, Permits, and Inspection Logs.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and compliance evidence.
  • Monitor and update the Temporary Works Register, ensuring all designs and approvals are recorded and followed.
  • Supervise all temporary works on-site, ensuring correct installation, maintenance, and removal procedures.
  • Work closely with the Temporary Works Coordinator, Designers, and Site Engineers to ensure compliance with approved designs.
  • Liaise with the Construction Manager, Section Managers, and Subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of temporary works.
  • Conduct pre-use checks and inspections before loading or using temporary works structures.
  • Prevent unauthorized alterations or modifications to temporary works systems without proper approval.
  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to temporary works procedures and industry standards.
  • Assist in training and briefings for site teams regarding temporary works best practices.

General Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with Policies and Procedures in the company IMS and understand responsibilities within them.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on temporary works management across the project.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all temporary works-related queries on-site.
  • Support the Temporary Works Coordinator in ensuring safe and compliant execution of all temporary works activities.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.

Key Competencies & Desirable Skills

  • Strong knowledge of temporary works procedures, BS 5975 regulations, and CDM requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and structural designs.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with designers, site teams, and subcontractors.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk assessment abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Experience in temporary works coordination, lifting operations, and structural engineering (Desirable).
