The Electrical QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical works within the MEP scope at the paper machine facility are executed in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. The role includes inspection, testing, documentation, and support during commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control inspections for electrical and MEP works in accordance with project specifications and standards.
  • Inspect installation activities such as cable laying, cable trays, conduits, panel installations, and instrumentation connections.
  • Implement and follow Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and quality procedures.
  • Conduct incoming material inspections (cables, panels, electrical equipment, etc.).
  • Monitor and verify pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare and manage QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, NCRs (Non‑Conformance Reports), and punch lists.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with quality standards and project requirements.
  • Support preparation and verification of as‑built documentation.
  • Verify electrical testing activities such as insulation resistance, continuity, grounding, and loop checks.
  • Ensure compliance with both quality and safety procedures on site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in QA/QC for electrical works in industrial projects (preferably paper mills, power plants, or heavy industry).
  • Experience with electrical testing tools (megger, multimeter, loop tester, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (single line diagrams, cable schedules, layouts).
  • Experience in QA/QC documentation (ITP, Method Statements, NCR, etc.).
  • Good command of English (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and preferably AutoCAD.
