Job Description
We’re working with a growing client based in St Helens, looking to recruit an experienced and proactive Pre-Construction Manager to lead all pre-construction activities across a range of exciting projects.If you’re passionate about cost planning, feasibility studies, and tender management — this role offers the chance to lead from the front in a hybrid working environment with a highly supportive team.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the bid/no-bid processReview tender documents, identifying risks and opportunitiesLiaise with project teams to prepare contractor proposalsConduct site visits and prepare scopes of work and BoQsObtain and compare subcontractor and supplier quotesCreate robust cost plans and tender submissionsAttend client meetings and interviews when requiredUpdate feasibility studies and maintain cost databasesSupport the Head of Business Support with bidsDeliver clear handover information to operational teamsIdentify new tender opportunities to help drive growthRequirements:Previous experience in a similar Pre-Construction or Estimating roleBackground in new build social housing and/or refurbishmentStrong understanding of Design & Build contractsHigh level of construction technical knowledgeExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectivelyFamiliarity with estimating software (e.g., Conquest) is a plusExperience with educational or healthcare schemes is desirableKnowledge of NatFED rates is advantageousCompetitive salary: £65,000 – £70,000 per annumFlexible hybrid working model25 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdownOpportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking teamCareer progression within a growing organisationApply Now!To apply or find out more, please contact Bartosz directly on or upload your CV today and we’ll be in touch.
