Reports To: CEO/Founder

Directly Responsible For: All staff in the company working alongside the COO.

Job Purpose: Optimise the company's operating capabilities, build structure, accountability and repeatability ensuring the customer always receives on-time, high quality products and service. Lead on strategies to safeguard assets and stock while achieving growth targets and profit margins. Team up with management to implement business strategies.

Objectives of this role:

  • Develop & Drive organisational vision, operational strategy, and hiring levels/plans.
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
  • Work with the COO to ensure operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organisational goals are met.
  • Serve as strategic thought partner to the Consumer Business Unit and broader organization.
  • Build our brand awareness in the European market.
  • Look ahead at trends and commercial information and plan for the future to ensure we always move forwards as a business.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with COO to performance manage staff members; sickness, capability, conduct and disciplinary/grievance issues.
  • Effectively lead teams through the implementation of all company policies and procedures.
  • Analyse internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives.
  • Drive the company's operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals.
  • Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies and collaborate with management regarding the implementation of these improvements.
  • Manage expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves profitability and introduce tactical initiatives to address theft and other losses.
  • Develop frameworks, methodologies and conceptual approaches needed to provide guidance for meeting client marketing objectives.
  • Develop specific action plans with business leaders in Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations and Supply Chain to realise opportunities, address shortfalls, and implement a longer-term corporate vision.
  • Create executive communication material to assist with trade-off and decision making.
  • Identify, assess, and evaluate new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships.
  • In cases where testing is required, design, implement, and supervise field implementation of new programs and ideas.
  • Cultivate new and existing client business development opportunities for the Customer Experience Practice.
  • Collaborate to create a digital strategy and roadmap for an optimized and connected customer experience.
  • Teach and inspire others to adopt empathic and creative approaches to solving strategic business problems.

Quality Assurance:

  • Helping the company to promote high morale and communicate the company's operating policies and safety measures.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the company procedures comply with employment regulations.
  • Making sure that all employees are compliant with company policies.
