Overview
DCT Recruitment are currently recruiting for skilled Bricklayers to work on a specialist off-site construction project based at a factory in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This is not your typical site work β itβs a clean, controlled, factory environment, working on modular building components for high-quality construction projects. The main responsibility is the installation of brick slips onto cement board walls, working to exact dimensions and specifications from technical drawings.
- Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
- Rate: Β£23 – Β£25 per hour (DOE β Depending on Experience)
- Start Date: 22nd September
- Hours: 7:00am β 5:00pm (Monday to Friday)
- Duration: Approximately 4 months β with potential for further work
Responsibilities
- Installing brick slips freehand onto cement boards (no rail systems).
- Working on panels of the following dimensions: 9.5m x 4.4m and 3.8m x 4.4m.
- Using adhesive to fix slips directly to board.
- Pointing the slips once installation is complete to ensure a clean, professional finish.
- Working from detailed drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Operating scissor lifts when required (IPAF preferred, but training can be arranged).
Qualifications
- Experienced Bricklayers with a strong background in brick slip installation or similar detailed work.
- Confident working without rail systems and with adhesive-based systems.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings accurately.
- A strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- IPAF licence (desirable) β or willingness to undergo training.
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working in a factory setting.
- Must have own PPE and basic hand tools.
