Bench Joiner

DCT Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and skilled Bench Joiner on behalf of our client based in Burscough. This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate, offering secure, full-time work with a reputable company in the woodworking and manufacturing sector. As a Bench Joiner, you will be responsible for producing high-quality joinery products from technical drawings and specifications. This role will involve working with various types of wood, using a range of woodworking machines and hand tools to create bespoke pieces. Rate of Pay: £18.00 per hour (PAYE) Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 16:30 Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Start Date: Immediate start available Key Responsibilities: Manufacturing bespoke joinery items including doors, frames, panels, cabinets, and counters Operating woodworking machinery safely and effectively Reading and interpreting technical drawings Measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling wood to precise specifications Ensuring all work meets the required standards of quality and finish Working as part of a team and independently when required Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Requirements: A minimum of 3 years experience in a Bench Joiner role Strong experience working with woodworking machinery (e.g. saws, planers, routers, spindle moulders) Ability to read and understand detailed joinery drawings Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship Good time management and ability to meet deadlines Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt Own tools preferred but not essential CSCS card beneficial but not mandatory
