What you’ll do:
- Maintain strong relationships with core and overseas suppliers, ensuring reliable supply, competitive costs and favourable terms.
- Support negotiations on cost prices, lead times and payment terms to protect margin and stock availability.
- Create and interpret stock, sales and margin reports, highlighting opportunities to grow revenue and profitability.
- Manage pricing and promotions across categories to remain competitive without compromising profit.
- Analyse sales trends, customer demand and competitor activity to optimise ranging, assortment and lifecycle planning.
- Monitor inventory levels, place and track purchase orders and ensure availability targets are met without overstocking.
- Proactively identify new product opportunities, using reviews, refund data and market insight to strengthen the range.
- Partner with key internal teams to improve forecasting, intake planning and overall stock management processes.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a fast‑paced merchandising, buying or purchasing role (retail or e‑commerce ideal).
- Experience working with international suppliers, ideally across East Asia or similar manufacturing regions.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to spot trends and understand their impact on sales, margin and stock.
- Confident user of Excel, comfortable working with spreadsheets, data sets and reporting tools (VLOOKUPs, pivots, etc.).
- Able to extract and interpret data from business systems to support clear, evidence‑based decisions.
- Highly organised, self‑motivated and calm under pressure, able to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative approach and a positive, solutions‑focused mindset.
- Working knowledge of WSSI tools and category or merchandise planning would be a distinct advantage.
