Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in a busy cold/frozen storage facility based in Deeside. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering a competitive hourly rate with excellent long-term prospects for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations across rotating shifts in a cold/frozen storage environment.
- Lead, manage, and motivate warehouse operatives to meet productivity and safety targets.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, and stock control.
- Liaise with transport teams, drivers, and external partners to ensure timely dispatches.
- Conduct shift handovers, maintain accurate records, and report any operational issues.
- Train and support new team members and ensure consistent operational standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role, ideally within cold/frozen storage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and in a cold environment (PPE provided).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift licence (desirable, but not essential).
