Overview
DCS Recruitment currently seek an experienced data cabling engineer in Sheffield on behalf of a national structured cabling contractor.
Vacancies: 4 Teams and individuals are equally encouraged to get in touch.
Contract date: 20/07/2026
Duration: 4 weeks initially with potential continuation on later projects following completion.
Project scope
The cabling engineers on this project will be carrying out wifi network upgrades, adding new wireless access points and data cabling to existing network infrastructure, predominantly CAT6 and containment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out wifi network upgrades and install data cabling as part of network infrastructure upgrades.
- Fit and configure CAT6 cabling and containment where required.
- Work to project specs and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid ECS/Equivalent structured cabling/comms industry related card or CSCS.
- Have a minimum of 2 years comms industry experience.
- Be able to provide relevant work references and proof of right to work in the UK (ID) prior to start.
- Have own PPE and hand tools including termination kit and drill(s).
