An opportunity to work on advanced electronics and specialist technology used in demanding underwater environments.
Two areas of expertise are relevant to these opportunities: hands-on electronics hardware design and the development, integration and improvement of complex electronic instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits.
- Produce circuit schematics and PCB designs.
- Develop low-power, low-noise electronic solutions.
- Work with embedded C/C++, microcontrollers and FPGA-based systems.
- Integrate, test and troubleshoot complex electronic hardware.
- Support precision signal acquisition, communication interfaces and timing systems.
- Investigate faults, verify designs and support production.
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to design reviews.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in electronics engineering and hardware development.
- Analogue and digital circuit design.
- PCB design and schematic capture, ideally using Altium.
- Embedded C/C++ and microcontroller-based systems.
- Hardware testing, fault-finding and verification.
- Understanding of low-power design and EMC principles.
- Experience with FPGA systems, precision electronics or complex instrumentation is advantageous.
