DCS are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our valued client to join a dynamic and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with a strong background in residential housing who can hit the ground running, take ownership of projects, and play a key role in delivering high quality residential developments.
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for residential build projects
- Managing project costs throughout the construction life cycle
- Procuring subcontractors and suppliers through tendering and negotiation
- Preparing and administering contracts, valuations, and final accounts
- Monitoring project expenditure and reporting on cost performance
- Assessing and pricing variations, change orders, and additional works
- Processing subcontractor payments and ensuring accurate cost control
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and commercial compliance
- Identifying commercial risks and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements
Requirements:
- Relevant construction qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is essential
- Strong background in residential housing projects
- Excellent commercial awareness and cost control skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required
- Ability to take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and CVRs
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
