DCS are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our valued client to join a dynamic and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with a strong background in residential housing who can hit the ground running, take ownership of projects, and play a key role in delivering high quality residential developments.

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for residential build projects
  • Managing project costs throughout the construction life cycle
  • Procuring subcontractors and suppliers through tendering and negotiation
  • Preparing and administering contracts, valuations, and final accounts
  • Monitoring project expenditure and reporting on cost performance
  • Assessing and pricing variations, change orders, and additional works
  • Processing subcontractor payments and ensuring accurate cost control
  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and commercial compliance
  • Identifying commercial risks and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements

Relevant construction qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is essential. Strong background in residential housing projects. Excellent commercial awareness and cost control skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required. Ability to take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and CVRs. Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.
