We are currently partnering with a specialist consultancy within the Building Pathology sector to recruit a Senior Consultant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in building surveying, structural investigations, or defect analysis to take ownership of projects and work closely with clients across a diverse portfolio. This is a varied position combining technical investigations, project management, and client-facing responsibilities. You will manage projects from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring a high standard of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Condition surveys (intrusive and non-destructive)
- Lead and deliver building pathology projects
- Concrete assessments (composition, deterioration, corrosion)
- Water ingress investigations and remediation planning
- Non-destructive testing (GPR, ultrasonic pulse echo, etc.)
- Building investigations for repurposing and design input
- Coordinating laboratory testing and interpreting results
- Produce and review clear, high-quality technical reports
- Manage projects to meet safety, quality, and budget goals
- Build strong client relationships and deliver practical solutions
- Plan resources, allocate tasks, and monitor performance
- Contribute to risk management and cost control
