Hourly Rates:

  • First 37 hours: £39.00 LTD / Umbrella | £28.85 PAYE
  • After 37 hours / first 4 Saturday hours: £41.34 LTD / Umbrella | £30.58 PAYE
  • After 4 hours on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays: £45.06 LTD / Umbrella | £33.34 PAYE

DCS Engineering are currently looking to engage and work with candidates who have the experience to work across Electrical Supervisor opportunities, supporting upcoming power and infrastructure projects across the UK.

We are currently focusing on immediate requirements in Scotland, with opportunities supporting major power and substation projects.

Projects operate on 50 hours per week, working 10-hour shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist and drive work areas by taking the lead role coordinating small teams and work activities on behalf of the Site Manager.
  • Lead teams across various work fronts, ensuring work is delivered on time, to the required quality and within cost.
  • Forward plan upcoming work fronts, ensuring suitable engineering information, plant, materials and labour are available.
  • Coordinate with other work parties to ensure efficient and safe working.
  • Highlight potential deviations, delays and disruption from the original scope of work.
  • Ensure compliance with site rules, QEHS procedures and project requirements.
  • Assist with required project documentation and completion of allocated task cards within agreed timescales.

The Candidate:

  • Apprentice trained with C&G / NVQ Level 3 (appropriate course) plus 1 years’ experience, or industry-recognised training with 2+ years’ experience on ESI, power generation, oil & gas or general construction sites.
  • Experience participating in mechanical or electrical installation activities and leading site teams.
  • Experience working within a Power environment with strong HSEQ awareness.
  • CSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS, 3 Day First Aid, IPAF, Temporary Works Supervisor and HSG47.
  • MEWP, Roto 360, Manual Handling, Working at Height and Fire Safety awareness.
  • SSE Authorisation Cat 3, Scottish Power / National Grid Person BESC, NSI6 and/or NSI8 advantageous.
  • Good IT, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, site initiatives and conflict resolution.
