We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Fire Risk Assessor on an initial 3-month temporary contract, with a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out fire risk assessments across residential apartment blocks throughout the north of the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments in accordance with current legislation and best practice
  • Identify potential fire hazards and evaluate risks to residents, visitors, and staff
  • Provide clear, practical recommendations to reduce or eliminate identified risks
  • Prepare detailed reports and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Work collaboratively with property managers and stakeholders to implement fire safety measures
  • Stay up to date with relevant fire safety regulations and guidance

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fire risk assessment, ideally within residential settings
  • Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and risk assessment methodologies
  • Relevant fire safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety or equivalent)
  • Excellent observational, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
