Semi-Skilled Fitters

We are looking for two Semi-Skilled Fitters to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous aerospace airframe or structural assembly experience who want to develop their skills within a professional manufacturing environment.
The successful candidates will assemble high-quality aerospace components using a range of fitting processes. You will work accurately from engineering drawings and aerospace specifications while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the fitting and assembly of aerospace components and structures.
- Read and work accurately from engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Complete drilling, countersinking and riveting operations.
- Apply sealants in accordance with the relevant procedures.
- Fit helicoils, bearings and bushes.
- Use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment safely and accurately.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets aerospace quality standards.
- Identify and report any defects or quality concerns.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and comply with 5S requirements.
Key Skills
- Previous aerospace airframe or structural assembly experience.
- Previous experience within the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Practical experience with drilling, countersinking and riveting.
- Experience using sealants and fitting helicoils, bearings or bushes.
- Good practical and mechanical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
- Commitment to safe working practices and 5S standards.
