An established and forward-thinking engineering business is looking for a skilled Electrical Panel Assembly Technician to join its production department. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a solid background in electrical assembly and control panel wiring.

Main Duties:

  • Assemble and wire control panels to specification
  • Interpret and work from electrical diagrams and technical drawings
  • Carry out cable routing, crimping, looming, and termination
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks such as marking out, drilling, and fitting components
  • Occasionally solder electrical components as required

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and wiring standards
  • Practical experience with panel wiring, component mounting, and electrical assembly
  • Competent in using hand tools for cable preparation and assembly tasks
  • Familiarity with motor control systems would be advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or similar)
  • Proven experience in a similar environment
