An established and forward-thinking engineering business is looking for a skilled Electrical Panel Assembly Technician to join its production department. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a solid background in electrical assembly and control panel wiring.
Main Duties:
- Assemble and wire control panels to specification
- Interpret and work from electrical diagrams and technical drawings
- Carry out cable routing, crimping, looming, and termination
- Perform basic mechanical tasks such as marking out, drilling, and fitting components
- Occasionally solder electrical components as required
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and wiring standards
- Practical experience with panel wiring, component mounting, and electrical assembly
- Competent in using hand tools for cable preparation and assembly tasks
- Familiarity with motor control systems would be advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
- Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or similar)
- Proven experience in a similar environment
