The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 Β£ per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects across London. The successful candidate will lead commercial operations, manage project profitability, and support project teams from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the commercial management of multiple projects and frameworks.
  • Overseeing cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Managing subcontract procurement, negotiation, and account administration.
  • Ensuring compliance with NEC and/or JCT contract requirements.
  • Reviewing and approving valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
  • Supporting bid and tender submissions where required.
  • Managing client relationships and commercial communications.
  • Mentoring and supporting Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff.
  • Providing strategic commercial input to senior leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or specialist contracting sectors.
  • Strong contractual knowledge including NEC and JCT forms of contract.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and financial management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and high-value projects.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficient in commercial management software and Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
  • RICS accreditation desirable but not essential.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience delivering complex structural, demolition, concrete, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
  • Main contractor or specialist subcontractor background.
  • Experience managing large commercial teams and project portfolios.

Package

  • Β£80,000–£110,000 basic salary depending on experience.
