We are looking for an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering high-quality AV installations and services across the UK. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering projects to the highest technical standards, with a strong focus on quality, precision, and customer satisfaction.
As an AV Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting installation and service delivery, working closely with Engineering Managers, senior technical stakeholders, and Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and right first time. This is a national role requiring regular travel across the UK, with overnight stays typically between 1–4 nights per week depending on project requirements. What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience within the Audio-Visual industry, including AV system design and integration
- Strong hands-on experience delivering projects from 1st fix through to commissioning
- In-depth technical knowledge of AV technologies including:
- Video distribution
- Networking
- Audio processing
- Projection and display systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving ability with a high attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel UK-wide, including overnight stays and occasional out-of-hours or weekend work
What you’ll do:
- Deliver and oversee off-site prefabrication and on-site installation of AV systems
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and health & safety requirements
- Support the development and continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards, and documentation
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Stay up to date with emerging AV technologies, contributing to ongoing technical improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across installations
- Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring a right-first-time delivery approach
