About the Role

  • We are looking for an experienced
  • Estimator to join our team based in

Accrington , specialising in commercial and internal fit-out projects.

The successful candidate will have strong estimating experience within the construction or fit-out sector, with a good understanding of internal finishes, subcontractor packages, materials and project costs.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator looking to join an established and growing business, working on a varied range of internal fit-out projects across the North West and wider UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess incoming tender enquiries and project specifications.
  • Analyse drawings, schedules, scopes of work and tender documentation.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for internal fit-out projects.
  • Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Price labour, materials, plant and subcontractor packages.
  • Identify project risks, exclusions, opportunities and potential cost savings.
  • Prepare competitive tender submissions and supporting documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
  • Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records and tender databases.
  • Assist with handover of successful tenders to the commercial and project teams.
  • Ensure estimates are completed within agreed timescales and to a high standard.

Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience working as an

Estimator within internal fit-out, refurbishment or commercial construction .

  • A strong understanding of internal fit-out trades and construction methods.
  • Experience pricing subcontractor packages and obtaining supplier quotations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to estimating.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and estimating/take-off software.
  • A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
