We are looking for a dedicated Shunter Driver to join our team in Avonmouth. This role offers competitive pay and the opportunity for career progression. As a Shunter Driver, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of rolling stock, ensuring that the operations run smoothly.
Shift: 12:00 - 8:00 PM shift.
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate shunting vehicles and move rolling stock within the yard.
- Ensure proper coupling and uncoupling of wagons.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Work effectively with yard staff and drivers to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Shunter Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- A valid C1 Shunter Driver license or equivalent.
- Knowledge of railway safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work in a team and follow operational instructions.
