Our client is a true market leader in their field and are looking for an experienced Employment Tribunal Advocate specialising within employment law to complement their existing legal services team. Experienced within Advocacy, the successful candidate will manage their own cases from preparation, all aspects of case management through to representation in the Employment Tribunal.
We are looking for candidates who are hard working, confident, articulate, who have direct employment law and advocacy experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the employment law advisors and the senior leadership team. There is a strong focus on delivering high standards of quality and client care with good communication skills and high professional standards. The ideal candidate will also have an ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities and key tasks:
- To undertake all Tribunal preparation from start to conclusion of the case ET1 ET3 COT3 etc.
- Advise on, and conclude settlement agreements.
- Representation at Employment Tribunal.
- Attendance at Tribunal for all hearings, preliminary and directions hearings, case management discussions and case preparation hearings with clients.
- Liaison with ACAS, Tribunal and other legal parties.
- To ensure that all Tribunal deadlines are met.
- To maintain open communications with clients and keep them up to date.
- To maintain all case management activity on the online system.
- To keep open communications with clients at all times regarding case activity.
Person Specification:
- Advocacy experience within employment law.
- Experience of representation in employment tribunal cases.
- Professional qualification preferred but not essential.
- Hold a full valid driving licence, and can work with autonomy and independently.
- Ability to work under pressure.
