We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inspector to join our Inspection Department. As an Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality, ensuring product traceability, and contributing to continuous improvement within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct first off and patrol inspections
- Prepare first article inspection reports
- Perform NDT testing in accordance with ASME regulations
- Handle goods inward inspection
- Conduct final view inspection of completed assemblies
- Record and maintain inspection and test records
- Support the QA team and assist with internal audits
- Liaise with Production Managers and Quality on corrective and preventive action
- Calibrate inspection, measuring, and test equipment
- Contribute to a team working environment and continuous improvement
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Observe and practice the 5S principles
- Undertake other general duties to maintain the efficient working of the Inspection Department
Qualifications
- Time served Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification
- Prior knowledge and experience of valve assembly, inspection, and manufacturing advantageous
- Experience in inspection of Milling, Turning, and Welding disciplines
- Familiarity with CMM Operations, Faro arm, and Tessa scan would be advantageous
Day-to-day
- Operating computer equipment for data purposes
- Reading engineering drawings and quality plans
- Using inspection equipment such as micrometers and verniers
- Making decisions based on experience and within given boundaries
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Promoting the company in a positive manner
