We're supporting a well-established, high-precision engineering business within the aerospace and defence sector, currently looking to appoint a Quality Engineer to support ongoing growth and new programme introduction activity. This role is ideally suited to a Quality Inspector looking to step into an engineering-level position, or a junior Quality Engineer with a strong shopfloor background.

You'll join a structured quality environment, working across NPI programmes, production support, and continuous improvement activities, with clear progression into more senior Quality Assurance roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities across multiple programmes
  • Manage non-conformances and support internal review processes (e.g. Material Review Board (MRB))
  • Assist with preparation and review of First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) in line with aerospace standards
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) / Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities
  • Conduct root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to drive quality improvements
  • Support internal audits and quality system compliance activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
