My client is a leading Contact Centre technology business and looking for an experienced Kubernetes Engineer on Bare Metal Servers responsible for the configuration, deployment, and validation of Kubernetes clusters across their Manchester data centres and AWS infrastructure. This role will focus on ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of these clusters to support a seamless migration of services. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in bare metal Kubernetes deployments, networking, storage, and related technologies. Qualifications: Essential: Proven experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes on bare metal server infrastructure. Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components. Experience with networking technologies, including load balancing, DNS, and network policies (Calico, MetalLB) Experience with storage solutions such as Longhorn. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Solid understanding of Linux system administration. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and documentation skills. Desirable: Experience with cloud-based Kubernetes services (e.g., EKS). Knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization best practices. Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD).!! This role is officed based, with free car parking facilities. !!
