We are supporting a well-established aerospace manufacturing business in Greater Manchester who are seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to join their quality team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to build a career within a structured Quality Engineering environment. The role offers clear progression into a full Quality Engineer position over time.

You will work closely with experienced Quality Engineers, supporting day-to-day quality activities across a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Quality Engineers with day-to-day quality activities across manufacturing operations
  • Assist in maintaining product conformance to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Support calibration tracking and basic inspection activities where required
  • Assist with documentation control and quality system administration
  • Help maintain compliance with internal procedures and 5S standards
  • Support investigation of non-conformances and basic quality issues
  • Assist with departmental reporting and data entry tasks
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to support quality standards
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally within a quality-related function)
  • Understanding of manufacturing quality principles and product conformance
  • Basic awareness of Quality Management Systems (QMS/IMS)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (desirable)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes from material through to finished product
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Commitment to safe working practices and 5S standards
Development Opportunity

This role is designed as a progression pathway into a Quality Engineer position. Full training and development will be provided, including exposure to aerospace manufacturing standards, inspection processes, and quality systems.
