We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our growing team, covering Essex and London. This role involves the servicing, maintenance, fault‑finding, and small works on a wide range of fire alarm systems across commercial and residential sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently
- Complete small installation and commissioning works as required
- Ensure all work complies with current industry standards and regulations (e.g. BS 5839)
- Accurately complete job reports and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
- Participate in on‑call rota (if applicable)
Requirements
- Proven experience working with fire alarm systems
- Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
- Ability to fault‑find and problem‑solve independently
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- FIA qualifications or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience with systems such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, or similar (advantageous)
