We are currently recruiting for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing and well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody at the early stages of their engineering career who is looking to develop within a structured manufacturing environment.

The role would suit either a recent engineering graduate or somebody who has recently completed an apprenticeship and already gained some exposure within a manufacturing environment. The business is looking for somebody hands-on, motivated, and eager to develop their knowledge across manufacturing processes, production support, and engineering operations.

The Role:

  • Working closely with manufacturing and production teams, you will support a variety of engineering and administrative functions to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the manufacturing process.
  • You will gain exposure to production documentation, engineering specifications, route cards, production tracking, and first article inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support general engineering and production administration activities
  • Print route cards and create production packs including drawings and documentation
  • Generate and maintain basic route cards
  • Access and review engineering specifications
  • Create manufacturing documents and work instructions
  • Balloon engineering drawings to support first article inspection processes
  • Maintain customer order books and provide updates to clients
  • Work closely with production teams to support job tracking and problem solving
  • Assist with manufacturing process improvement and day-to-day operational support

What We're Looking For:

  • Engineering graduate or recently completed apprenticeship
  • Minimum 12 months experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Understanding of BOMs and manufacturing processes from raw material through to finished part
  • Awareness of supply chain and production processes
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Committed to working safely and maintaining 5S standards
