CNC Press Setter / Operator
Loaction: Eccles M30
7am -3pm with 30 mins for lunch. Monday – Friday
Pay is around 14-14.50ph
Temp to perm basis – 24 days holiday after probation period + B/H and company pension
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Press Setter / Operator to join a rapidly evolving and busy company based in Eccles. We are looking for a trained engineer or an individual with experience in setting and operating modern CNC Sheet metal Forming machines.
The role is for one of the leading architectural sheet metal work Suppliers They manufacture all aspects of fabricated structures and panel systems for key customers all over the UK. The long-standing company is in the process of upgrading its building and interior to move forward into the future. The company has invested in modern CNC machinery and aims to continue to invest to remain a key supplier in its field.
- Responsible for the setting and operation of Modern CNC Press Brake machines to fold Sheet Metal products.
- Undertake all aspects of folding sheet metal components, including single and small batches to high volume output.
- 12 Months of experience in the use of these types of machines is required.
- Experience in setting and operating machines produced by Amada, LVD or Bystronic would be highly advantageous.
- Any Guillotine experience would be beneficial.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.
- Ability to use associated hand tools.
- Experience in a fast-paced engineering background is beneficial.
- Grasp of modern Health & Safety requirements within a fabrication environment.
- Ability to work individually to defined tolerances and self-certifying in line with ISO requirements.
- General maintenance activities required when required.
- Experience in material ranges of 0.7 – 5mm thickness
