Skilled CNC Machinists / CNC Turners Permanent Nights | 4-Day Week | Earnings circa £40,000+ North West England We are currently recruiting for multiple Skilled CNC Machinists to join a well-established and highly respected precision engineering manufacturer in the North West. Shift Pattern: Permanent Night Shift Monday to Thursday 10:00pm - 7:30am 38 hours per week 3-day weekend every week Flexibility to support alternative shift patterns when required would be advantageous. Salary & Benefits: Skilled Level 3 Rate: £15.66 per hour Night Shift Allowance: £4.64 per hour Total Night Shift Rate: £20.30 per hour Approximate annual earnings: £40,000+ Permanent full-time position Ongoing training and development Modern manufacturing environment Long-term career prospects The Role: Working within a busy machine shop environment, you will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities will include: Setting and operating CNC machinery Tool setting and loading materials Machining precision components to drawing tolerances Using measuring and inspection equipment Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Completing quality documentation Supporting continuous improvement activities Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards Working within lean manufacturing and 5S principles Machinery Environment You may work across a variety of advanced CNC machinery including: Mori Seiki Lathes & Machining Centres Nakamura Twin Spindle / Twin Turret Machines Okuma CNC Machines & Multus Lathes Star Sliding Head Machines Additional specialist machining equipmentCandidate Requirements We would like to speak with candidates who have: Previous CNC machining experience within a precision engineering environment Experience setting and operating CNC turning machinery Ability to work from engineering drawings Experience working to tight tolerances Knowledge of Fanuc, Okuma or Mazak controls Experience using inspection and measuring equipment Time served engineers and candidates with relevant engineering qualifications are encouraged to apply, although skilled-by-experience machinists will also be considered. Experience machining stainless steel components would be highly advantageous.
