£37,000 plus night out allowance
Monday to Friday
This role consists of typically early starts, around 4-5am ending around 3-4pm but we need someone who can be flexible to meet business needs, as this role does require occasional overnight work ranging from 1 night to maximum 3 nights in a week, but sometimes it isn’t required for a while at all. Notice will of course be given!
Valid class 2 license, up to date CPC and at least 2 years driver class 2 experience, completing multi drop, doing no less than 10 drops a day, ideally delivering to external customers such as suppliers and wholesalers.
Main duties of this role:
- Regular scheduled deliveries to the company’s wholesale customer base (Average 12 - 15 drops per day)
- Goods Vehicle Operation / Delivery Driving / FLT Operation
- Occasional picking and packing of orders to the demands of the customer
- Assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles and making timely and accurate customer deliveries
- To operate safely within a Warehouse/Fleet environment
What we are looking for:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar Driver Class 2 role
- The ability to work within the given timeframes ensuring that customer demands are met.
- Physical and mental aptitude for manual / mechanical work
- Previous similar experience working in a similar role
- Manual Handling experience
- Ability to use IT databases / keyboard skills
- Fork Lift Truck Licence / Experience (Training will be provided)
- Clean UK driving licence / Class 2
