DCS Engineering are currently looking to engage and work with experienced Electrical Wiremen, Electrical Fitters and Electrical Technicians to support upcoming electrical installation projects across the UK.
We are currently focusing on immediate requirements in Scotland, with opportunities supporting major power and substation projects in Crossaig and Creag Dubh.
This is an excellent opportunity for electrically qualified individuals with experience in substation panels, electrical installation, wiring, switchgear or similar power-sector environments, looking to secure long-term project opportunities across the UK.
Projects operate on 50 hours per week, working 10-hour shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
Carrying out electrical installation and wiring activities within a site team.
Working on substation panels and associated electrical equipment.
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and project documentation.
Carrying out wiring activities in accordance with project specifications and approved procedures.
Marking up drawings and documentation where required.
Completing allocated task cards and installation activities within agreed timescales.
Working alongside Chargehands, Site Supervisors and wider site teams to deliver project requirements.
Complying with all site health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring work is completed to relevant industry standards.
Identifying and communicating potential issues or delays to site management.
Working effectively both as part of a team and independently when required.
Supporting the safe and efficient delivery of electrical installation activities across power and infrastructure projects.
The Candidate:
Electrically qualified with relevant electrical installation experience.
Minimum 1 year's experience working on substation panels, or 2 years' experience working on similar equipment within power generation, oil & gas, util...
