What You'll Be Doing
As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring customer deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering customer orders in line with schedules and service standards.
Completing multi-drop deliveries throughout the UK.
Carrying out handballing and unloading of palletised goods when required.
Loading, packing, and securing vehicles safely.
Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring roadworthiness.
Maintaining compliance with transport and health & safety regulations.
Completing delivery paperwork and warehouse administration accurately.
Supporting warehouse operations when required.
Operating Forklift Truck (FLT) equipment where trained.
Working closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating day and night shift basis:
Day Shift
Start Time: 7:30am
9-hour shift
Night Shift
Start Time: 5:30pm
9-hour shift
Overtime available, dependent on operational requirements, traffic conditions, and road closures.
What We're Looking For Essential
Valid HGV Class 1 Licence
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong commitment to safety and customer service
Good communication and teamwork skills
Physical capability to undertake manual handling duties
