The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across commercial gas systems within retail environments. Working independently across multiple sites, you’ll ensure systems are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently, while maintaining high service standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas systems and pipework
- Carry out gas testing, purging, and safety compliance checks
- Respond to breakdowns and complete PPM schedules
- Ensure full compliance with gas safety regulations
- Complete service records, certification, and reporting
- Support general maintenance tasks across sites where required
- Work closely with FM teams and scheduling support
- Participate in a regional on‑call rota
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
- Valid commercial gas certifications
- Strong understanding of gas safety and compliance
- Confident fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience within retail or large‑scale FM environments
- Additional skills in AC, electrical, or general building maintenance
- Multi‑skilled or facilities maintenance background
