We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Junior Commercial Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis at our Banbury site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to deliver the most competitive pricing and profit levels.
  • Category Management: Provide customers with a tailored range of products and promotions that suit their individual needs, using a category management approach.
  • Business Development: Increase business with existing suppliers and develop new opportunities in line with profit guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Recover all costs associated with residuals, overstocks, and out-of-date stock.
  • Networking & Representation: Represent DCS Group at meetings, events, and seminars, building relationships with a variety of networks including customers and suppliers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Prioritization & Decision-Making: Ability to prioritize and make effective commercial decisions in time-sensitive situations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercial Awareness: A solid understanding of commercial principles with the ability to negotiate and influence decisions.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team Focus: Self-motivated, flexible to change, and a strong team player.
