We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team. You will be working for a well-established mechanical building services consultancy and contractor, delivering high-quality design solutions across commercial, fit-out, and building services projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from office and retail fit-outs to larger commercial developments, in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept to detailed working drawings.
- Produce accurate calculations for LTHW, CHW, ventilation, air conditioning, ductwork, and pipework.
- Use Revit (essential) to create design models and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Utilise design software such as Hevacomp and TAS.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall team development.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical building services design, ideally in commercial or fit-out projects.
- Strong proficiency in Revit MEP is essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under deadlines.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience producing calculations across LTHW, CHW, ventilation, AC, ductwork, and pipework.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD alongside Revit.
- Experience in commercial fit-out or building services projects.
- Knowledge of Hevacomp and TAS software.
