Job Description

Quality Engineer

We are looking for a methodical, driven individual who has experience of quality management systems, inspection and industrial metrology within a precision machining environment. If this sounds like you then please apply for a more in-depth chat about this opportunity.

Responsible for:

  • Contributing to creation and maintenance of effective quality control processes
  • Contribute to continually improving the Quality Management System
  • Aide in championing processes and procedures to ensure ISO 9001 and AS9100 accreditations are maintained and achieved
  • Monitor and record scrap, reject, rework and concession quantities and costs to aide in improvement projects
  • Keep accurate documentation
  • Understand statistical techniques to ensure quality levels are maintained
  • Proactively aide in problem solving and improvement
  • Provide assistance with Internal Audits
  • Support and work within the culture of continuous improvement
  • Take part in 5S, 8D and any other relevant quality principles to aide in problem solving and quality improvements
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders effectively
  • Be an industrial metrology champion for new methods and techniques to collect robust, repeatable data
  • Provide CMM programming support and operation to ensure smooth throughput of work
  • Maintaining quality best practice
  • A hands-on approach with first off inspection
  • Ability to contribute to drawing review meetings with a thorough knowledge of G D and T
