We\'re recruiting on behalf of a well-established aerospace manufacturing business seeking an experienced
CI / Business Development Manager to drive operational improvements across its sheet metal manufacturing facility.
This is not a sales business development role .
Instead, you\'ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, implementing lean initiatives, reducing waste and increasing efficiency across the factory.
Working closely with senior management, you\'ll lead continuous improvement projects from concept through to implementation, helping to shape the future performance of the business.
The Role
This is a hands-on position based predominantly on the shop floor.
You\'ll spend time understanding current manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements that enhance productivity, quality and operational performance.
You\'ll work collaboratively with production, engineering and senior management teams to deliver measurable improvements while maintaining the high standards expected within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and workflow.
- Lead and coordinate Continuous Improvement (CI) projects across the factory.
- Work closely with senior management to implement operational improvement initiatives.
- Analyse manufacturing methods and recommend more efficient ways of working.
- Monitor, report and present CI progress to the senior management team.
- Support lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives throughout the business.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across production teams.
- Ensure all improvement activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
