We are looking for an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established facilities and maintenance provider supporting retail superstore environments across the Leicester region. This opportunity has arisen due to continued contract growth and increased service demand.
The business delivers planned and reactive maintenance across large-scale commercial properties and is recognised for maintaining high compliance standards and strong client relationships within the retail sector.
This role would suit a confident and technically strong Air Conditioning Engineer who enjoys working autonomously in a mobile role. The position is predominantly service and repair focused, with limited installation work.
You will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing commercial air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and minimal downtime across multiple sites.
- Service, fault-find, and repair commercial air conditioning systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs
- Work on a range of equipment including split systems, VRF/VRV, and packaged units
- Handle manual compressors and manufacturer-specific systems
- Accurately complete job reports, compliance documentation, and service records
- Liaise professionally with clients and internal support teams
- Participate in the regional on-call rota when required
Proven experience working on commercial air conditioning systems is essential, along with experience within a mobile service and repair role. An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and a full UK driving licence are required.
Experience within retail or facilities management environments, manufacturer training or experience with Airedale/DX systems, and a multi-skilled background (gas or electrical exposure beneficial) are advantageous.
A company vehicle will be provided (fitted with safety cameras – no live monitoring or audio). This is a permanent opportunity within a stable and growing organisation.
