Senior Recruitment Consultant – DCS Engineering
E&I Technician – Contract Opportunity (Ongoing)
Location: County Durham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, weekdays + overtime available
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join a leading chemical manufacturing operation on an ongoing contract. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising essential systems across a multi-floor, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibration, installation, and fault-finding on a range of instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, level, analytical).
- Working with HART communication systems and ensuring compliance with ATEX standards (CompEx 1–4 essential).
- Maintenance and repair of motors and starters (DOL, Star/Delta, VSD).
- Hands-on work with electrical distribution systems up to 415V.
- Upholding site safety standards and working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
About You
- Time-served E&I Technician with experience in the chemical, process, or related industries.
- Strong expertise in either instrumentation or electrical systems (multi-skilled preferred).
- CompEx 1–4 certified and fully compliant with ATEX regulations.
- Physically fit and confident working at heights in a multi-floor plant environment.
- A proactive, safety-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
