About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading aviation organisation delivering specialist airborne services across the UK and internationally. With a strong focus on operational excellence and safety, they support complex aviation missions through advanced aircraft platforms and highly skilled personnel.

They are now seeking an experienced Airworthiness Engineer – Agile Aircraft to join their Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). This is a key role responsible for ensuring the continued airworthiness of a diverse and dynamic fleet, operating within a highly regulated environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Airworthiness & Technical Support Lead, you will take ownership of continuing airworthiness activities for the agile aircraft fleet, ensuring full compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and standards. You will act as a technical authority, supporting both operational and strategic objectives while maintaining the highest levels of safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all continuing airworthiness activities in accordance with applicable regulations (including EASA, UK CAA, UK MAA and others as required)
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition, with all required documentation valid and up to date (e.g. CofA, ARC, PtF, etc.)
  • Lead Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) management, including maintenance planning, variations, and defect rectification
  • Oversee compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and other regulatory requirements
  • Manage deferred defects, concessions, and liaise with OEMs/DOAs
  • Oversee modifications, technical records, MEL, mass & balance, and maintenance check flights
  • Support reliability monitoring, trend analysis, and obsolescence management
  • Contribute to Safety Management System (SMS) reporting and investigations
  • Support audit processes, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Act as a key point of contact for technical and airworthiness matters

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management within commercial and/or military aviation
  • Strong working knowledge of EASA, UK CAA, UK MAA (and ideally FAA) regulations
  • Experience managing airworthiness within an agile or ex-military aircraft environment (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) (essential)
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 27001) (desirable)
  • One of the following:
  • Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (or equivalent), or
  • Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering degree, or
  • Relevant apprenticeship/qualifications with significant industry experience
  • Eligibility to obtain SC-level security clearance
