Wide-Body Aircraft | 4-on, 4-off | Enhanced Shift Premiums | Up to 11% Employer Pension - Wales
We are working in partnership with a leading aviation engineering organisation to recruit experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join their aircraft maintenance operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for licensed engineers looking to develop their careers within a wide-body aircraft environment, with opportunities for those holding existing type approvals as well as engineers looking to expand their aircraft type coverage through further training.
We are particularly interested in engineers with approvals on the Boeing 777, Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350. However, candidates holding other aircraft type approvals will also be considered, with the potential to undertake a relevant aircraft approval course.
The Roles
We are seeking technically strong, safety-focused Licensed Aircraft Engineers who can bring their experience to a demanding and rewarding maintenance environment.
Whether your specialism is B1 mechanical maintenance or B2 avionics, we are interested in speaking with engineers who have a strong understanding of aircraft systems, fault diagnosis, maintenance documentation and airworthiness requirements.
The opportunity will also suit experienced certifying engineers capable of taking responsibility for maintenance activities, supporting colleagues on shift and ensuring maintenance work is carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures and regulatory standards.
Aircraft Type Approvals
Experience and approvals on the following wide-body aircraft are particularly desirable:
- Boeing 787 Dreamliner
- Airbus A350
Engineers with alternative aircraft type approvals are encouraged to apply. The client is open to considering suitable candidates for further aircraft approval training, offering the opportunity to broaden their technical experience.
Salary & Shift Premiums
The roles operate on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, with the following annual shift premiums:
- Day shifts: £4,476 per annum
- Night shifts: £9,399 per annum
The package for Licensed Aircraft Engineers with additional leadership and certifying responsibilities includes a salary of £74,845 per annum.
Benefits Package
Alongside the opportunity to work within a wide-body aircraft maintenance environment, the package includes:
- Annual leave: 19 days plus bank holidays on the 4-on, 4-off rota
- Pension: Employer contribution of up to 11%
- Shift flexibility: A structured 4-on, 4-off working pattern
- Technical progression: The opportunity to build on existing aircraft maintenance and certification experience
