Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 & B2)

Location: Bournemouth, UK

Salary: £71,400 + £4,000 Shift Allowance

Relocation support may be available.

Must be able to secure UK security clearance, including ITAR requirements.

We are a recruitment partner supporting a leading aviation organisation in the search for experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join their Aircraft Maintenance team based in Bournemouth. This position operates within a highly regulated Part-145 environment, supporting aircraft maintenance activities critical to operational and contractual delivery.

Week-about shift rotation:

  • Early Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:30 – 14:00
  • Late Shift: Monday to Thursday, 13:00 – 22:30; Flexibility is required to work additional hours and support deployments within the UK and overseas.

Reporting to the Crew Chief, the Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 & B2) is responsible for supporting the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of all Part-145/A8-23 aircraft maintenance activities across the main operating base and deployed locations. The role requires a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance, alongside supporting team development and engineering decision-making.

  • Perform and certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with Part-145 requirements.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all maintenance activities.
  • Support aircraft operations at the main base and deployed locations worldwide.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Strong understanding of Part-145 regulatory requirements.
  • Eligible for UK security clearance, including ITAR requirements.
  • Willingness to work shift patterns and deploy as required.
  • Leadership and team supervision capability.
  • Adherence to regulatory and company procedures.
  • Contribution to team performance, safety culture, and continuous improvement.
