Career Opportunities with Duininck Concrete. A great place to work. We are seeking drivers interested in working for our Portable Crew. These drivers deliver concrete to construction sites as a critical member of the team. Must be open to working at various job sites for extended periods of time (overnight travel required). We provide paid training on how to handle and deliver concrete safely and efficiently to customers. CDL Class A or B required. Must also have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Eligible for full benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401K and more! This is a year-round position.
Responsible for:
- Safely operate a ready-mix truck to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites.
- Follow DOT requirements.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Follow instructions regarding the type and quantity of concrete to be delivered.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any delivery updates or issues.
- Provide customer service by interacting professionally at construction sites.
- Ensure the proper handling and pouring of concrete to prevent spills or damage.
- Maintain clean interior and exterior truck.
- Assist with additional maintenance/cleaning duties in and around the plant location during down time.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
What we are looking for:
- Willingness to travel and work on-site for extended periods of time.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
- Ability to or willingness to learn how to operate and maintain a ready-mix concrete truck.
- Comfortable with learning or using GPS.
- Willing to jump in and help wherever needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Climb ladders and stairs.
- Work in various weather conditions.
