Overview
We are partnering with a high-growth, internationally operating organisation seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a critical appointment, responsible for shaping financial strategy, ensuring regulatory excellence, and supporting the business through its next phase of global scale and value creation.
Working closely with the Founder, CEO, and Board, this role will be central to strategic decision-making, capital planning, and long-term value creation. The successful candidate will be a qualified FCA (ICAEW) with significant experience operating in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall ownership of all financial activity for a Fintech business
- Lead the overall financial strategy, planning, and execution aligned to business objectives
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Founder, CEO, and Board, influencing high-impact commercial and strategic decisions
- Drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation
- Oversee all financial functions including FP&A, reporting, treasury, tax, and audit
- Lead investor relations, fundraising, and M&A activity where applicable
- Ensure best-in-class governance, compliance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions
- Provide expert oversight on equity structures, including the design, implementation, and governance
- Build and develop a high-performing, globally capable finance function
Requirements
- FCA qualified (ICAEW) – essential
- Proven experience as CFO or Finance Director within a complex, scaling, or private equity-backed environment
- Deep expertise in UK, US & ideally European financial regulations
- Strong understanding of cross-border tax, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in driving growth, transformation, or exit readiness
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at board and founder level
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills
