We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing Saa S / Fin Tech technology business in Manchester.

This is an opportunity to work on a modern, cloud-first platform that sits at the heart of complex B2B customer operations.

You'll join a collaborative engineering team building scalable workflow and automation technology, while helping evolve established systems into the next generation of cloud-native products.

A key part of this platform involves multiple AI agents running simultaneously, and you'll play a central role in ensuring their outputs are correctly verified and reliable in production.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving how software is built and operated, and using modern engineering practices and tooling to deliver better products faster.

The Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll design, build and maintain scalable B2B Saa S solutions, with a particular focus on workflow, automation and cloud-native engineering.

You'll work across the software lifecycle, from technical design and API development through to deployment, observability and production support.

The environment follows a "we build it, we run it" philosophy, so reliability, maintainability and instrumentation are considered from the outset.

You'll be working directly with systems where multiple agents operate concurrently, so building robust output verification and validation into these workflows will be a core part of the role.

You'll also play an important role in technical decision-making, collaborating across product and engineering teams and helping other engineers develop.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing, building and maintaining scalable B2B Saa S and workflow solutions
  • Developing cloud-native services using an API-first approach
  • Helping modernise established applications and business logic for a cloud-first architecture
  • Building automation that is testable, maintainable and designed to scale
  • Building and maintaining systems where multiple AI agents run simultaneously, with a strong focus on correctly verifying and validating their outputs
  • Contributing to architecture and technical decisions across cross-functional teams
  • Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation
  • Ensuring applications are observable, supportable and production-ready
  • Working iteratively within a Now / Next / Later product delivery environment
  • Using modern development and AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and software quality
  • Coaching and sharing knowledge with other engineers
  • Continuously identifying pragmatic improvements across technology, tooling and ways of working

What We're Looking For

You'll be an experienced software engineer with a strong background in modern application development and an interest in building high-quality Saa S products.

Ideally, you'll bring

  • Experience building and operating cloud-native applications
  • Experience with containerisation
  • Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform and an understanding of the trade-offs between cloud-native and vendor-specific services
  • Strong understanding of APIs, automation, CI/CD and modern software delivery practices
  • Experience designing software for maintainability, testability and production support
  • An understanding of a high-performance language such as Go / Golang, and where it can be applied effectively
  • Experience or strong interest in multi-agent AI systems, particularly around output verification and validation in production environments
  • Experience working in cross-functional product and engineering teams
  • A pragmatic, iterative approach to software development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • A commitment to continuous learning, knowledge sharing and coaching others

Experience with .

NET, Azure and DORA metrics would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

You'll also be comfortable using — or actively exploring — modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Git Hub Copilot, Warp or similar.

Why This Role?

This is a strong opportunity for a Senior Engineer who wants more than simply working through a development backlog.

You'll be working at the sharp end of multi-agent AI in production, with real ownership over how these systems verify and validate their own outputs, a genuinely differentiating problem space few roles offer at this level.

You'll have the scope to influence how software is designed, built and operated; work on genuinely complex workflow and automation problems; and help shape the evolution of a modern Saa S / Fin Tech platform.
