We are currently recruiting for a Retail Admin Assistant (Commercial Planning) to work in our Billericay office. We offer a variety of benefits, including 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, flexible working hours - core hours of 10am - 4pm and 4pm finishes every Friday, hybrid working including WFH opportunities throughout the week and many more. Our Head Office is in Billericay, Essex with transport links to Central London, Stratford and Southend. We also offer free parking if you drive to us!

Role Purpose: Supporting the Commercial Planning for the Field, optimising the efficiencies of Retail Operations by analysing and seeking opportunities to reduce field operational costs.

Main Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Process and Analyze field operational costs - Supports the authorisation of all timesheet and expense claims for the field ensuring these are in line with policy. Where noncompliance is identified, raises this to the People Team for the relevant action to be taken.
  • Provides timely quantitative analysis to support Retail Operations in driving efficiencies in travel, admin & expense costs.
  • Supports monitoring of the holiday budget, for the field, on a quarterly basis, highlighting operational issues to the Retail Manager & ensures regular communication is shared to support adherence to holiday booking budget.
  • Supports the analysis of absence in the field ensuring these are in line with policy and raising any concerns to the People Team for the relevant action to be taken.
  • Supports the creation and distribution of Trade updates weekly for the Field.
  • Ad-hoc support to Retail Operations team - Support identification of vacancies by zone, town & liaise with Resourcing ensuring positions are advertised in priority order providing heads, hours & working pattern.
  • Performing recurring & ad hoc quantitative analysis to support Retail Operations in driving efficiencies in resourcing & hours.
  • Producing clear, concise & insightful data analytics which enable stakeholders to make sound business decisions based on fact.

Skills, experience, and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Data driven, with an analytical mind.
  • Experience working in an analytical role manipulating data and running reports.
  • Advanced on Microsoft Excel and competent on the full Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Confident communicator.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in/with retail operations.
  • Experience of working within and supporting volume processing environment.
  • Experience making clear recommendations for driving efficiencies based on analysis.
