Would you like to join our admin team, who provide support to Clinical Staff In Derby City

If so, we are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic administrator to join our team!

We have 1 part time role (22hrs) worked across 4 days between Monday-Friday. Shift pattern is negotiable.

The role involves processing referrals into a large phlebotomy service and supporting the Rapid Response Nursing Triage Team.

We would welcome applications from experienced admin staff who would like to start a career in the NHS or simply start in a new team and develop new skills.

Main duties of the job

Using SystmOne, process phlebotomy referrals from across Derby City and ensure that visits are arranged as requested.

Contact patients by phone if necessary to discuss elements of a referral

Provide admin support to the Rapid Response Nursing Team

Education, Qualifications and Training

  • Educated to GCSE level at C / level 4 or above (English) or Equivalent

Skills and Attributes

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Excellent telephone skills and manner
  • Sound level of IT competency in using Microsoft Office packages

Experience and Knowledge Required

  • Experience of working in a role which has involved time management and diary management skills
  • Recent and relevant experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Knowledge of confidentiality issues and Caldicott principles
  • Awareness of Health and Social Care sector

Other

  • Ability to travel to any site where DCHS services are provided
