An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the IFM team at St Oswald's Hospital in Ashbourne as a Facilities Assistant The core role is as a domestic assistant ;however, this may also include Porters duties .This role is essential in supporting the smooth running of the hospital to support colleagues ,patients and visitors You will be joining an existing team of 14 facilities staff who work across the site Full training will be given in all parts of the role, and you will be supported by the facilities supervisor The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 15:00-18:00.
Main duties of the job
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. You may work independently or as part of a team, following agreed work schedules, cleaning methods and procedures in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable and able to adapt to changing service needs. You may be required to work across different sites when necessary to support service demands.

Essential and desirable
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload as required within own area of service
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills or willing to work towards
- Basic Health and Safety Certificate
- NVQ in cleaning
- Previous cleaning experience
