Qualifications
- Full SCPHN qualification and current registration.
- Experience working with the 0–5 population and families.
- Knowledge of the Healthy Child Programme and evidence-based family focused care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies, statutory organisations and the voluntary sector.
- Accepted to prescribe from the Nurse Prescribing Formulary.
- Leadership and mentorship experience (pre‑registration and SCPHN students) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Healthy Child Programme to the 0‑5 population and their families.
- Develop therapeutic relationships with clients and manage complex family situations.
- Manage a defined active caseload and take responsibility for safeguarding children issues within that caseload.
- Provide services in collaboration with partner agencies, statutory organisations and the voluntary sector, identifying and acting on public health needs of the 0‑5 years.
- Prescribe according to assessed individual need from the Nurse Prescribing Formulary.
- Support and line‑manage the skill mix team.
- Develop leadership skills through mentorship responsibilities to both pre‑registration and SCPHN students, and provide preceptorship to support new staff members.
